Luxury Stay at Hotel Bristol Warsaw

When I booked a weekend getaway to Warsaw I was given the firm instruction that the hotel "better be nice".

This instruction came from my mother was a little disgruntled that our weekend destination didn't involve somewhere with a daily high of 27 degrees. So with that in mind I decided to book the number one ranked hotel in Warsaw and hope for the best.

Pulling up in front of the Hotel Bristol was a good moment, the building is beautiful and it is in the perfect location, right next to Old Town.

There was a bit of a queue for check-inn, perhaps we arrived at an awkward time but once that it was sorted we made our way up to our rooms on the top floor.

Of course stopping to admire the lobby’s chandelier on the way. Fun fact: Hotel Bristol was opened by the one and only Maggie T!

Anyways, the room…

*this is not my exact room but check out the video for a tour of the room I stayed in

I loved it! It was so spacious with a desk area, a seating area, a separate closet room, and a big bathroom with a bath.

Check out my video of the room!

The décor was simple but elegant… nothing better than a big bed with crisp white linen.. oh and a big white fluffy bathrobe, I am all about that #robelife these days.

Once we had unpacked it was off to explore the Old Town.

Warsaw turned out to be a lovely city. We weren’t sure what to expect to be honest, but it was so pretty! If you want to check out my top 5 recommendations for things to do in Warsaw you can read the post here.

In the evening before dinner at U Fukiera, we stopped for a drink in the hotel bar.

Gin and tonics were served with apple slices which worked really well… definitely going to try that at home.

We didn’t realise there was another bar in the hotel, a glamorous piano bar if you will…

A real shame as that would have been totally up my street, but I did snap a few photos of it anyway.. isn’t it gorgeous?

Breakfast was a buffet affair. On the plus side there was sparkling wine, always a good way to start the day.

On the downside there was no chef on site to make fresh omelettes or pancakes. Yes, I realise I sound like a total princess … you’ll get used to it ;)

Day two was spent strolling around the park and checking out museums. We returned to the hotel in the afternoon and were in desperate need of a cup of tea so we checked out Café Bristol.

I had crepes which were good but…

I was so jealous of my mums Eggs Florentine… don’t you just hate when the person you are with orders better than you?

Dad had french toast but he wolfed it down so quick that I didn’t manage to take a photo.

Also I would like to point out that the big chocolate milkshake looking drink that I am holding was not in fact a chocolate milkshake. It was a smoothie with fruit and cacao powder!

Either way I did have a tinge of guilt so to unwind before our evening escapades I made my way down to the pool.

Perfect!

Simply put, I loved Hotel Bristol. It was so charming and the location was perfect.. put this place on your list!

  6. The entrance/check-in area to the hotel looks beautifully welcoming and luxurious! The food looks delicious, though what a pity you hadn't realised the further bar area (inc. piano) was behind there - perhaps it calls for a second visit sometime in future? haha :)
