Top Ten Easter Holiday Destinations

Hands up who is planning their Easter Holiday right now??

Last Year's Easter Holiday in the Seychelles

In fairness I am always holiday planning regardless of if there is an official holiday or not, but when it's on a national calendar it just seems so much more legitimate. With that in mind I have scoured the internet for a hot list of places to go for Easter 2016.

Snow Breaks

1) Ski Holiday - St. Moritz

Start as you mean to go on... St. Moritz is one of the most glitzy ski resorts in Europe, attracting an endless list of celebrity names. Word on the street is that the fabulous Kulm Hotel is hosting a special VIP night skiing event for their guests over Easter Weekend.

2) Ski Holiday Long Haul - Whistler

The snow season in Whistler can last right up till the start of May so you are pretty much guaranteed to see the white stuff if you head over for Easter. Also my top reason for including Whistler is you may get to see a brown bear!

3) Winter Fun and the Northern Lights- Tromso

Last year my friend Amber and I faced total heartbreak when Norwegian Airlines cancelled all our flights to Tromso! Even though I am still kind of mad at them I am determined to visit Tromso at some point. It looks like a winter wonderland with reindeers, dog sledding, and beautiful Northern Lights displays which are best seen between March and April, how handy!

4) Northern Lights and Epic Scenery - Iceland

Is it just me or does everyone seem to be going to Iceland these days? My Facebook is plagued with photos of awesome landscape shots.. I want I want I want!

5) Cape Town

It's been a while since I have been to sunny Cape Town and I definitely miss it. Between adorable penguins, acres of vineyards, beautiful beaches, and trendy restaurants, Cape Town should be on everyone's bucket list.

6) Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka would be an awesome holiday destination if you had a week to ten days. You could start up in the hill region and then work your way down to the beach... think of all the great Instagram opportunities!

7) Caribbean

Hmmm I could write why to go, but really is there any need? TAKE ME THERE NOW!

8) Dubai

I had a fantastic trip to Dubai last summer, the only thing that could have made it better is if we didn't feel like were walking into a furnace every time we stepped out the front door... desert in the summer bad plan but at Easter... excellent idea! Make sure you check out the crazy weekend brunch scene while you're there.

9) Morocco

I went to Marrakech last April and the weather was perfect, you could sunbath during the day and in the evening the temperature dropped sufficiently that you didn't turn into a ball of sweat in bed at night. Also major plus is that there are some amazing hotels.

La Sultana Marrakech

I have yet to go to the beach in Morocco but I have heard good things and intend to visit soon.. stay tuned.

10) Tenerife

Ok this may not exactly count as short haul buttttt Europe is a no-bikini zone till at least May. I debated whether to include here or the Cape Verde, I haven't been to either but from what I can tell the Canaries have a better range of hotel options.
