Top 10 Travel Moments of 2015

So I have only one more flight left for 2015! Its been a very busy year in terms of travel so I thought I would do a wrap up post of some of my favourite moments of 2015. Here goes:

1) Room with the Best View

This was a tough one. There has been so many stunning views from beautiful beaches to famous landmarks but nothing really comes close to this crazy panorama view of the whole of Bangkok from our room in the Lebua Tower Club.

2) Best Spa

Hands down La Sultana in Marrakech! The Chandeliers and the massive jacuzzi bath were so elegant and luxurious, excellent for making you feel like a princess.

3) Best Meal

In case you haven't been able to tell, I love food. I wish my super power was being able to eat all day long without getting fat. 2015 has been a great year for food but in terms of the overall experience I just loved the White Rabbit in Moscow. The food was all delicious, the theme was Alice and Wonderland (my favourite) and it offered terrific views of the Moscow skyline. A definite winner!

4) Best City Break

How could I pick somewhere other than New York? That city has it all and I just can't wait to go back! This year's trip was excellent as I got to explore Brooklyn for the first time, I also ate pizza at least once a day, yummm.

5) Best Bath Tub

Shangri-La at the Shard. I still can't get over this bath tub, you can just sit there relaxing in the bubbles and watch the whole city of London go about it's day. Especially fun is watching all the commuters in the morning while you laze about mwahaha.

6) Best Beach Holiday

Close run thing between Borneo and the Seychelles.... but the Seychelles wins. The sunsets were spectacular and the infinity pool at the Banyan Tree was the dream!

7) Best Dessert

Aaaaaa so hard... I love chocolate so I am going to go with the city of chocolate cake - Vienna. In particular Hotel Sacher's Chocolate Torte; it was just divine and I liked how it was acceptable to order it at breakfast.

8) Most Memorable Trip

I spent a month in Kota Kinabalu Borneo this summer and I have never felt more at peace, or more zen. I wish I had time to travel like that everywhere because there was such a difference between living there for month and just visiting for a few days. I loved the food there, I loved the people, and mostly I loved how remote it was.. it felt like you were so far removed from all the usual stress of life.

9) Best Moment

The Thief Hotel in Oslo was my first blog trip so it will always be a special place for me. Walking into our room there for the first time was an awesome moment, and signalled many good things to come for the blog. I can't recommend this hotel enough, it was so funky and hipster. Definitely go check it out if you are in Oslo.

10) Best Hotel

I have been so lucky this year with everywhere I have stayed. I am so grateful for all the experiences but this particular hotel stands out in my mind. Palais Namaskar in Marrakech you are the rockstar of the hotel world, I was quite literally speechless at the design and concept of this hotel and I so hope I can go back some day!

That's it for 2015! Thanks everyone for following along, I really appreciate all the support and I can't wait for more adventures in 2016!
